The Magic of Knowing When to Let Go and Walk Away

The truth is if you reach a point where letting go is the only option, it usually means that this thing or someone already let you go. You are trying to stay in a place where you are not welcome anymore.

Sometimes you have to just walk away. We all hate to fail, hate to give up, hate to give up on the illusions we have created for ourselves. We love the challenge of life and want to keep going until whatever we are trying to “win” has been achieved. But sometimes it just wont happen for us, and we need to learn to recognise these powerful moments, and learn how to walk away with our heart intact and our dignity high.

Sometimes you really want to do something to hold on even tighter, but this notion is unrealistic. Instead of constantly pushing, trying to make things what they are not and driving yourself crazy, cultivate the art of knowing when to walk away, and you’ll find your problem a lot less stressful.

If your relationship is coming to a halt and you can feel it approaching soon, instead of playing out the hurtful and complicated—and potentially harmful games, learn the art of walking away. If your situation is dead, leave it. This is an important rule and it is here because it is for you to know at this time, it’s designed to protect you, to nurture you.

This is nothing to do with “them” but all to do with you. If it’s dead, don’t go digging the thing up every five minutes to check if theres any possibility. It’s definitely dead - walk away.

You may want to get even. Thats okay. But if you act on this feeling then it’s no longer okay. Don’t get mad; walk away. This is much better than feeling you’re even because it shows you have risen above the arses of this world that are driving you mad. There can be no better way of ‘getting even’ than to ignore something or someone so completely it can be left behind. Toodaloo!

Letting go and walking away means you are exercising your own self control and these wonderful decision-making powers you are exercising really show your true character rather than letting the situation control you.

None of our problems warrant a footnote in the history of the universe. Walk away now and look back after two or ten years. I bet you’ll be hard pushed to even remember what it this is all about.

No, this isn’t a “time is the best healer” message, but putting space and time between you and your troubles does give you a wider view, a better perspective and created the space in your life for something with a purpose which is so much more meaningful for you.

Rebirth emerges from the power of walking away. Feel that power coming up into your very being, with bright energy and renewal of spirit.
